9:00 a.m. Our tour offers a visit to the most important attractions of our city of Lima, where we will explain the three historical periods that have marked our history: The pre-Hispanic (ancestral), the colonial and contemporary. We begin our tour with admission to the Huaca Pucllana, archaeological site located in the district of Miraflores, which was built in the fourth century AD as a ceremonial and administrative center considered by the Incas a holy village. The tour will be accompanied by a guide. We appreciate the typical characteristic of pyramid building sacred pre-Hispanic constructions where they performed the rituals of its ancient inhabitants. To learn more about the Viceroyalty of Peru we will move to downtown Lima where architecture and urban design of that period, old streets with colonial mansions of balconies of Moorish style stands out. On this visit will appreciate the Paseo de la República, Plaza San Martin and Plaza Mayor, with their different buildings: Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, the Cathedral and the Municipal Palace. We will also visit one of its most beautiful buildings, the Museum of the Central Reserve Bank, where we will appreciate a fine selection of gold objects, ceramics and textiles of various pre-Columbian cultures, from their origins to the Incas, which captivate and impress our visitors. Also on our tour we enter the magnificent Convent of San Francisco, which is the largest exhibition of religious art in America. Here they appreciate the chorus room and the Library of the Monks, the Sacristy, with its collection of Zurbaran and Rivera. The Big Patio of the Main Cloister, decorated with Seville tiles of XVI century, its beautiful Moorish arches and its subterranean crypts known as The Catacombs, where you will experience the presence of the colonial past. Finally we will move to the residential area of Lima where we will know the most traditional places such as El Olivar de San Isidro, Miraflores and Larco Mar shopping center where they will have a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean. 1:00 PM Lunch.
